Mental Health
NCBHS believes that building healthy minds and healthy families is the key to building strong communities. NCBHS offers a variety of mental health services for all age groups. Because research has demonstrated that group treatment is one of the most effective ways to resolve substance abuse issues and most emotional behavioral difficulties, NCBHS offers group therapy/classes as its primary model of treatment.
-
Youth Groups-These groups are designed to address youth issues such as ADHD, anger problems, mood disorders, youth skill building and adolescent recovery. Groups are offered in most of our office locations.
Services include:
Some of our more popular group therapy sessions include:
-
Depression-As many as one in five Americans are affected by depression in their lifetime... you’re not alone. If sadness persists or keeps returning in your life, if you are overeating or under-eating, when everyday things like sleeping, working, socializing and simply enjoying life continue to be difficult, it’s not "just the blues", it's depression - an illness that requires treatment. Groups in all locations.
-
Anxiety-You know the symptoms: you feel shaky, your heart pounds, your hands feel clammy and your stomach quakes...it’s anxiety! No one who has an anxiety disorder should suffer needlessly. These sessions will help you relieve anxiety symptoms by identifying situations, developing problem solving skills, relaxation techniques and changing negative thinking/self-messages. Groups in many locations.
Other groups are available, please contact NCBHS to find out more.
