We’ve entered the “dark ages” as the midshipmen at the Naval Academy say — the weeks between Christmas break and Spring break when everyone turns a pasty white and the sidewalks are full of ugly slush. The lack of sunlight and the shorter days don’t help the pursuit of sanity.
Teens today face choices that have potentially disastrous consequences. Alcohol, Tobacco, Drugs, Internet Bullying, Sexual Activity and Violence. Our 34th annual Teen Showcase, is a community effort to educate our youth on diverse topics that highlight the importance of making positive life choices. The Showcase is the area's largest teen conference serving 600 students annually.
