Our Team

Services at NCBHS are provided by a team of professionals ranging from licensed:

  • Psychiatrist - a psychiatrist is a physician with a doctor of medicine (M.D.) degree or osteopathic (D.O.) degree.  Psychiatrists are licensed as physicians to practice medicine. Psychiatrists provide medical and psychiatric evaluations, treat psychiatric disorders, provide psychotherapy, and prescribe and monitor medications.
  • Psychologist – Have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in clinical, educational, counseling, or research psychology.  They can provide evaluations, treat emotional and behavioral problems and mental disorders, and provide psychotherapy.
  • Licensed Professional Counselors – Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors and Licensed Professional Counselors have a master's degree (M.A.) in psychology, counseling or a similar discipline.  They provide services that include diagnosis and counseling (individual, family/group or both).
  • Licensed Social Workers- Social workers have a master's degree (M.A., M.S., M.S.W., or M.S.S.W), and provide various services including assessment and treatment of psychiatric illnesses, case management, and hospital discharge planning.
  • Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse - Psychiatric/mental health nurses may have various degrees ranging from associate's to bachelor's (B.S.N.) to master's (M.S.N. or A.P.R.N) to doctoral (D.N.Sc., Ph.D.). Nurses and Advanced Practice Nurses provide a broad range of psychiatric and medical services, including the assessment and treatment of psychiatric illnesses, case management, and psychotherapy.

Our Health Directions Counselors

Ronda Ketner, LCSW

Ronda holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  She has over 30 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker working with children, adolescents, and their parents.  Ronda also has a special interest in working with those who struggle with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, stress management, and loss.  Ronda enjoys helping others develop coping strategies to better manage life’s challenges.
