[Ottawa, IL (December 1, 2023)] – North Central Behavioral Health Systems is excited to announce the launch of its Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program, an evidence-based treatment method involving the use of FDA-approved medications in addition to behavioral therapies for people struggling with addiction.
We are pleased to announce that North Central Behavioral Health Systems received the Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHS) grant, a significant achievement that will allow our organization to enhance our behavioral health service offerings and extend our continuum of care for the community.

NCBHS service areas include La Salle, Bureau, Marshall, Putnam, Stark, Fulton, McDonough, and now Grundy Counties. NCBHS has 11 site locations and employs 140 staff who serve approximately 10,000 individuals annually, with an ongoing caseload of 3,000 individuals open for treatment at any one point in time.

ROCKFORD, Ill. (November 4, 2024) — Rosecrance Behavioral Health and North Central Behavioral Health Systems have signed a letter of intent to join together in an exciting opportunity to combine quality resources and expand services and access to care for individuals and families in central Illinois.
North Central Behavioral Health Systems is pleased to announce the latest development in our continued growth in north central Illinois with the opening of The Hygienic Institute building. NCBHS chose to keep the name The Hygienic Institute as the name of this site to pay homage to the institute’s original purpose of providing access to healthcare for the La Salle/Peru/Oglesby communities. Local residents are familiar with the Hygienic Institute name, history, location, and purpose. NCBHS believes that there is an ongoing commonality for its current use.
